With its combination of the scalloped top edge, rounded panels, and wheat and clover embossing, this is a highly decorated ironstone sugar bowl in a very pleasing pattern. This pattern is referred to as "Wheat and Clover." Produced by Turner and Tomkinson in the late 1860's,. it is a pattern seen on several different forms and was produced by several different potters.
