Ironstone Rare Floral Vine Cheese Dome

Description:

Truly spectacular! Only one of three ironstone cheese domes we have had the pleasure of owning, this one has a very pleasing and different pattern. Raised vines of flowers encircle the exterior of the body of the lid as well as the top of the lid. Beautifully executed leaves and flowers form the vines. A nicely grooved pattern forms the exterior rim of the base plate. Both lid and base are in excellent condition with no staining or other issues. Measuring 8.25" tall and 10.5" in diameter in totality, this is quite a statement piece. One of the scarcest forms in ironstone and even much more so in such a wonderful pattern. Being in pristine condition makes this all the more incredible. It is completely serviceable for even cupcakes or to use as a cover for a small dish. It is sure to be the highlight of any ironstone collection whether sitting prominently in the center of your cupboard or gracing your sideboard. No maker's marks. None of the few other examples we have had a maker's mark either. We professionally package and can easily, safely ship any item, fully insured, within the US.
