Early larger ironstone soup tureen with minimal decoration on the handles. Exhibits a beautiful true white glaze indicative of earlier pieces. Measuring 10" in diameter, it is a lovely round shape. Round tureens are much harder to find than oval ones, and this is a grand one. Some of these round tureens are considered toddy bowls. The lid has a slot for a ladle.
No maker's mark on the bottom. Excellent weight. English.
We have several ladles available and will gladly suggest one to match, if so desired. Tureen is sold without a ladle.
