One of the prettiest ironstone creamers we have seen. Wheat is one of the most popular patterns since so many potters made the pattern and most pieces can be found in order to make a service or collection in one pattern. This is a slight variance on the wheat pattern with the addition of the hops. It has a lovely scalloped top edge and fat vertical ribs.
Although lots of pieces can be found in the wheat pattern, this is the only creamer with these lines we have had. Creamers are a wonderful addition to any ironstone collection and make quite a statement when grouped.
Measuring 5.25" high and 5.5" from spout to handle, it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
Produced in the mid-1800s, it possesses the pure white coloration of early ironstone. It bears no maker's mark but definitely English.
