Tall, graceful, and just-the-right amount of embossing make this one of the prettiest ironstone pitchers we have. The tall slender ewer-shaped pitcher stands 11" high. Mouth of the pitcher has an exaggerated scalloped edge. Lower bulbous portion of the pitcher is unlike most as it is not gradual but rather quick and follows the points of the embossing.
Produced by Thomas Hughes in England during the 1860's, this is an exceptional pitcher. It's overall shape and embossing allow it to be a perfect fit for any collection. True white coloration of the early English ironstone.
This is the perfect candidate for someone wanting one statement pitcher or has a desire to add a pitcher to their growing collection.
Exhibits a gorgeous impressed maker's stamp in the bottom.
