Smallest Sweetest Ironstone Punch Bowl

Description:

WOW!  Not quite 8" in diameter and 4.5" high, this lovely ironstone punch bowl is the smallest we have seen.  We have had others that measure 8" or slightly more but none have such a shallow bowl and short stature.  Proportions are just a smidge smaller allowing this pedestal bowl to exude sweetness.

If one collects ironstone and enjoys the plainer pieces, then this is a "must."  It will easily grace the top of a cake stand or best inside another punch bowl to create an almost fountain effect.

Marked G.P. Co. on the bottom.  G. Phillips was a small pottery company in the early 1800's.  Dating to the 1840's, it is most likely one of very few still in existence which is why we have not seen another.

True white in color...not creamy not too blue.  Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
