Measuring 3.5" high and 3.5" in diameter, this lovely simple ironstone mug has very sweet floral decoration by the handle and exhibits the brilliant blue white of the mid-1800's, English ironstone. The handle is nicely curved which flows well with the slightly flared top rim. Appropriately named, this pattern is referred to as "Chain of Tulips" due to the elongated group of tulips descending downward onto the body of the mug by the handle. This pattern was produced in the 1850's by J&G Meakin. Mug bears their black stamp on bottom. Pristine condition. No chips, cracks, or stains.
