Just incredible! A matched set of 10 large ironstone plates in the ever popular "Sydenham" pattern. Measuring a full 10" in diameter, these larger ironstone plates are scarce. Usually the plates measure 8" or 9" but not a full 10". With the brilliant white glaze and octagonal shape, they just don't get any better. The slight scallop design is referred to as Sydenham. This pattern was produced by a variety of potters, and these were produced by TR Boote. Each plate bears the maker's mark on the underneath. Boote is arguably one of the best potters due to durability and elegance of the patterns. Each plate is in pristine condition. Although they are mid-1800's English ironstone, they provide a modern look as well as will blend nicely with any service. Perfect to line the back of a cupboard and to actually use. Selling as a set of ten as we have never had a matched set of this quality. $1450 for the set. If searching for a matched service, please contact us as we have matching platters and pitchers in this pattern as well. We also have a matched set of matching soup bowls in this same pattern so contact us if you do not see them listed.
