Wonderfully simple, early ironstone pitcher. Doesn't get much plainer than this one. Something very eloquent about this lovely pitcher in a typical milk pitcher shape. Stands 8" high and measures 8" spout to handle. Has a slight bulbous shape.
Produced by Powell and Bishop in England in the mid-1800's. Bears the maker's black stamp on the bottom.
Exhibits the true white glaze of early English ironstone. Powell and Bishop produced hearty, quality pieces.
