One of the best lockets we have had! Incredible dimension with the layering of the designs and fascinating attention to detail. Rose gold flowers combined with yellow gold leaves form the highly detailed decoration of the center medallion. Wirework scallops form a band around this central medallion. Layered decoration is concluded with a row of canted rosettes. These rosettes are almost steel cut in design as they shimmer and almost provide the illusion of diamonds.

Measuring 2.5" in total length and 1.5" wide, it is a nice size without being too large and definitely not small. Bale is in proportion to the locket and can easily slide onto most chains regardless of their girth.
Produced in the mid-1800's in England. All of these pieces are one-of-a-kind and this one has it all. What a beautiful piece and no doubt the lady of the period felt special while wearing it.
