Wonderful Marked Bennington Coachman Bottle

Description:

Standing 11" high, this is a fabulous example of the traditional Bennington Coachman bottle. One of Lyman Fenton's signature pieces, this bottle or flask shaped like a coachman can be found with varying details. This one has the feet showing out from under the cloak and miraculously the feet all original and have not been restored. Most examples with feet showing have had restoration. Brim of hat and mouth of flask are also in excellent condition. Has an overall milk chocolate glaze. No damage as if it were never used. Impressed Bennington 1849 round stamp on the bottom. One of the nicest examples we have seen. Dates to the mid-1800's and is just one of many Bennington pieces currently in inventory so feel free to contact us if looking for something specific.
