Standing 3" high and measuring 3.25" across, this is a very nice small yellowware mug. A thick wide white band encircles the middle section. Dark chocolate almost black bands outlines the top and bottom of this central white band. Buttery yellow base mug has the best color. The combination of the banding and base color create a wonderful palette. This banding can be found on various size mugs ranging from this 3" high to 5.5" high. Mugs are a fun and unusual yellowware form and can be found with a variety of colors of banding. Dating to the mid-1800's, this yellowware mug is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
