Plain Ironstone Milk Pitcher with Exaggerated Scroll under Handle

Description:

Standing 9.5" high, this slightly bulbous milk pitcher has simple but elegant presence. The exaggerated scroll under the handle on the body of the pitcher has incredible depth and detail. Since most of the body of the pitcher is plain with only having this unexpected beautiful scroll, it would be a lovely pitcher for the plain ironstone collector but definitely a perfect choice for wanting a simple pitcher to use as it has some personality. Marked Thomas Hughes on the bottom in a black stamp. Hughes produced ironstone in England in the mid to late 1800's.No condition issues so can easily be used for water, milk, lemonade, or flowers. No staining. We enjoy working with individuals and decorators in order to assemble a grouping of pitchers or an entire collection. We professionally package and can easily, safely ship any item, fully insured, within the US.
