Measuring 7.5" in diameter and only 3" deep, this is considered to be a milk pan. Milk pans were filled with fresh milk and then allowed to cool. When the milk would cool, the cream would rise to the top and could then be separated. This lovely milk pan is in a gorgeous pumpkin glaze. Pumpkin glaze was applied to a base yellowware piece. Produced in the 1920's by the Watt Pottery Company, this "Arcs and Lines" pattern was produced in this warm, rich pumpkin glaze as well as a grass green glaze and base buff yellow color. This pattern can be seen in these milk pans as well as mixing bowls of various sizes. Pumpkin glazed pieces mix well with green glazed pieces as well as plain yellowware pieces. Pristine condition with no issues. Please take a look at other pumpkin glazed pieces listed or feel free to contact us to allow us to assist you in assembling a collection.
