Measuring 6.25" in diameter and 3.25" high, this is a small example of a pumpkin-glazed yelloware bowl. Exhibiting the ever popular "Moon and Stars" pattern, this pumpkin glazed bowl is the next to the smallest size in the nesting set. The nesting set was produced by the Watt Pottery Company in the 1920's and included bowls ranging in size from 5" to 11" in diameter. These bowls were produced in this rich, warm pumpkin glaze, a grass green glaze, matte powder blue and matte white. Vertical ribs with sporadic moon slivers encircle the body of the bowl with only the vertical ribs on the shoulder. This lovely pumpkin glaze bowl has no condition issues...no chips or cracks.
