Modernistic Double Shirt Cuff Tailored English Silver Bangle

Description:

Checkerboard engraving lightly outlines the interior of each of the shirt cuffs.  This checkerboard decoration is the only decoration on this simple yet lovely bangle.  Large buttons are applied to create the shirt cuff motif.  Although it is a true Victorian motif, the decoration lends itself to more modern jewelry.  Dates to the 1880's.  Perfect for someone who appreciates simpler jewelry but prefers antique pieces.  Can easily be worn by itself or stacked with another.

Measuring 1" wide and 6.5" inner circumference.  Perfect for an average wrist. Oval in shape.

Nicely hallmarked in the interior of the back.

Dating primarily to the 1880's, these English silver jewelry pieces are extremely special.  Each piece was produced for a specific woman.  These were not randomly produced.  During Queen Victoria's reign, this jewelry became popular as she, herself, would wear the jewelry in order to promote the industry.  The pieces were made for the English market and not for export. Hence, these pieces are not commonly seen in the U.S.

We specialize in this English jewelry.  If you do not find something on the website, please do not hesitate to contact us.  We have a vast inventory so we may just have it.  If not, we will certainly contact you if we find something which you might like.
