Incredible Miniature Yellow Ware Teapot w/ Brown and Green

Description:

Measuring only 5.25" high and 6" from spout to handle, this is a super sweet miniature yellowware teapot with rich warm chocolate brown and medium green sponging.  The sparse and sporadic sponging is unlike any we have seen on any other piece.  Not only is the decoration unusual but the overall size and shape is unlike any we have seen.

This small size teapot is not a form which we have seen.  With its rounded edges and flowing spout, it has a lazy, easy appeal.  The buttery yellow base lends itself perfectly to the hues of the sponging.

Due to both the brown and green sponge additions, this teapot is not only a perfect addition for any yellowware collection but would also blend well with any green-glazed or rockingham collection.

Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.  This pristine condition perhaps indicates this was a salesman's sample which exhibited not only the quality of the company's pieces but also the coloration of the glazes available on the many pieces.

Truly a rarity.  Please check out our other listings for other unusual pieces as well as more green-glazed or rockingham/Bennington pieces.
