Unusual Deep Chestnut-Glazed Dog Bowl

Description:

Produced by McCoy in the 1920's, this slant side dog bowl with embossed hunting dogs on the sides is rarely found.  When it is, it is usually in a grass green glaze with this being the only one we have seen in a deep brown glaze.  The glaze has a nice warm hue leaning toward a chestnut.  Dogs are incredibly defined and very apparent.

Measuring 6" in diameter, this is the smaller of the two sizes originally produced.  2.5" high.

Pristine condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.

Perfect for the dog lover, rockingham collector, or even one that enjoys dog motif pieces.
