Measuring an incredible 4" in diameter and 3.75" high, this is one of the largest yellowware mugs we have seen with blue seaweed decoration. The proportions are fabulous. Not only is the size of this mug special but the decoration is also over the top.
Mugs generally do not have ultra exciting decoration but this one has long, highly detailed sections of seaweed. The blue coloration is simply stunning as it is not too pale nor too bold. Blends well with the perfect buttery yellow color of the mug. The white band extraordinarily wide which adds even more to the allure of the mug.
One of the rarer forms in all of yellowware collecting and thus, seaweed-decorated mugs are much harder to find than bowls or even canisters. Being of unusually large size, this is a "must have" for any yellowware collector.
It is absolutely pristine with no chips, cracks, repairs, or stains. Decoration is unbelievably crisp and concise. It had to have been done by a master potter and done to show his prowess.
