Measuring just 4" diameter and 2" high, this is one of the smallest yellow ware bowls one can find. The rich chocolate brown banding accentuates the medium buttery yellow of the base bowl. Thick center band is outlined on top and bottom by two thinner bands.
Small yellow ware bowls were either the smallest in nesting sets or used as salesman's samples. The smallest bowls tend to be the rarest as they were not practical for the kitchen and were often given to the children to play. As one can imagine, most were broken and created their rarity.
Excellent condition. Matches the 5" blue banded one also listed.
