Measuring 4.5" in diameter and 2" high, this is only the second one we have seen with baby blue bands on top and bottom of a middle wide blue band. Luscious buttery yellow coloring of the bowl. Wonderful rolled rim indicating it dates to the early 1860's.
Bowls of this size are uncommon as these were salesman's sample pieces. They were not produced in large quantities and only used just to demonstrate the potter's ability and decoration ability.
