Unlike any other ironstone pitcher in both overall shape and decoration. With its flared top and straight-sided body, this is the only one we have seen with such a shape. A floral band encircles the top portion of the straight-sided lower region while a design similar to rick-rack encircles the bottom.
Standing 12.5" tall and measuring 9.5" from spout to handle, it is a generous-sized pitcher and grand in presence. Wonderfully weighted in order to be the perfect vessel for a large bouquet of flowers.
Marked Wedgwood & Co on the bottom in a black maker's mark. Dates the pitcher to 1860. Brilliant white with no chips, cracks, stains, or issues.
Please see our other listings for other pitchers. This would be a perfect start to a grouping and could easily anchor the entire collection.
