Gorgeous Corn Finial Small Sauce Ironstone Tureen

Description:

Ironstone sauce tureens could be one of our favorites as they are such sweet small sizes and have such peronality. Standing 7.25" high and measuring 6" from handle to handle, this one does not disappoint. The detail to the corn finial is just the start. Teardrop embossing highlights each panel of the lid and base. No condition issues and no staining. I. Meir and Son maker's mark on the bottom. If a ladle is so desired, please contact us as we have several in inventory which would work. Commonly referred to as the "Mobile" shape as the base shape itself was registered to a potter who worked for a variety of makers. When the potter moved from potter to potter he changed the finial shape. Although this shape was produced was by several potters over a period of time starting in the 1850's, this is one of the hardest patterns to find in The States. Therefore, this is not only a stunningly beautiful sauce tureen but it is also a scarce piece. We professionally package and can easily, safely ship any item, fully insured, within the US.
