What a cool and different piece! Measuring 8" x 11", this is unlike any other piece of ironstone we have had. Sometimes these uncommon handled serving dishes are loosely referred to as baskets. This shallow handled serving dish also has an unusual shape. A slightly flared outer rim with fluting on the interior rim just adds to the oozing personality. The unpredictable curved handle is impractical but possibly could be used. Unbelievably there are no condition issues. No staining. Blue maker's mark on the bottom indicating produced in 1800's England. A wonderful piece for an advanced collector or someone wanting to creating a collection of unusual but serviceable pieces.
