Truly stunning!! Measuring 3.75" in diameter and 2" high, this is the smallest bowl produced in the Moon and Stars pattern. It is in the best lush grass green glaze and has a super crisp pattern. Often times the "moon" is muddy and cannot clearly be seen in the pattern but this must have been one of the first out of the mold due to the crispness of the pattern. Produced by the Watt Pottery Company in the 1920's, the "Moon and Stars" pattern was produced in this grass green glaze as well as a light blue, matte white, and pumpkin glaze. Traditional mixing bowl style bowls in sizes ranging from 5" to 11.5" as well as this tiny 3" salesman sample bowls, casseroles, and pitchers were all produced in this pattern. This was not Watt's primary focus so their production runs were very small so as a result this is a rather scarce pattern. Condition is excellent. We have had two others in the twenty years of business, and they just don't get any better than this one. Just gorgeous in all ways...whether you are a collector of small bowls or green-glazed yellowware, this should be in your collection.
