Advertising on yellow ware is a bit of an anomaly. Businesses would ask manufacturers to produce pieces with their logos. These pieces would be given as "premiums" to their best clients. This is the only piece I have seen with Hurr's advertising.
Pieces such as these are referred to as beater jars. The cylindrical shape and rounded bottom of the interior made it easy for one to beat the eggs and easily pour them out. They can be found with plain brown bands or white bands.
Often favorite forms for storing utensils as they are weighted in the bottom and will not turn over easily.
