Absolutely stunning! Single white banded bowls are definitely a favorite. Most often, these are found in very large sizes and are rarely found in sizes 12" diameter or smaller. Measuring 10" in diameter with a brilliant wide white band in the best yellow base color, this is one of the best examples we have found with this banding in a very long time.
Thick rolled top and bottom rims indicate this is a very early example. The thicker the rolled rims, the earlier the piece. As demand increased, the rolled rims flattened out as the maker's needed to speed up the process.
Banding is consistent with minimal skips. White banding was difficult to apply in one smooth motion and most often there are skips and misses.
Bowl is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.
A true beauty for any yellow ware collection and a special find for someone who loves these white banded bowls as this is a size which won't easily be found again.
