When this pattern is seen, it is often debated as to what to call the pattern. We refer to it as the "Checkerboard" pattern. It can be found in this spectacular summer yellow glaze as well as a variety of green glazes in bowls measuring 5" to 11" in diameter. Measuring 9.25" in diameter, this is a wonderful example. The small square pattern is super crisp with an evenly applied glaze. Pristine condition with no issues. Some collectors enjoy having example of both glazes and personally this is a "must" for any collection as the pattern is highly unusual and doesn't get much better than this one.
