What an amazing lion bangle! Bold, fierce, and glitzy! Double rows of arched paste stones with starbursts and additional wirework. One of the very best lion bangles we have had. Not only is the lion well defined but also very dimensional. Red paste stones form the eyes. Brilliant large clear stone adorns the mouth.
Fabulous to be worn on its own or layered with link bracelets. A striking lion embodying every quality lions should. Victorians believed lions provided courage and protection to those adorned by them. They were given as a sign of loyalty as well as royalty.
Measuring 7.25" in inner circumference. It will easily accommodate an average to slightly larger wrist. A full 1.5" wide at the widest, it is also one of the widest.
Hinge is in proper order. Clasp is nice and tight. Excellent condition with no wear.
Produced during the early 1900's in the US. Exhibits many qualities seen on pieces made in England in the mid to late 1800's.
